When you are a skatepark builder and you get invited to an awards banquet which is attended by hundreds of great companies, including international corporate giants, you wonder if the invite made it to the right address.  It turns out that it was no mistake as we were presented with the Small Industry of the Year Award.  It is a great honor to even be consider for such an award let alone actually win.

Professional Skater Gershon Mosley approached us about opening our facility on a Saturday to host what would be called “ARC Barge”. Throughout our 57,000 square foot facility various obstacles were set up for skaters and BMX riders to enjoy. The turnout was amazing and the talent displayed by local skaters surprised even Gershon. Everyone that attended the event had a great time skating and were even able to get Gershon Autograph. We were more than happy to open our doors for this event and can’t wait to do it again.

American Ramp Company always sets up a booth at the National Parks and Recreation Convention (NRPA). This year in Atlanta we decided to make the booth skateable and have skate demonstrations of the actual equipment that we offer. As we imagined the booth was quite an attraction, it didn’t hurt that one of the demo skaters was Professional Skateboarder Gershon Mosley. NRPA is always a lot of fun for us as we get to see many of our existing customers about the success of their ARC skateparks and talk to new customers about new skatepark development.

Producers from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition asked American Ramp Company to design and construct a skatepark in the backyard of a beach themed house that they built as part of their final and largest makeover project ever. EM:HE decided to undertake the challenge of building seven houses in seven days in Joplin, MO to replace some of the houses lost in the devastating May 22nd tornado. ARC worked with staff and on air personalities to design, construct and install a custom beach themed skatepark.

We were recently forwarded a letter from our rep in Poland. Being the letter was in Polish it didn’t mean a whole lot to us but after a call from our rep and a translation it turns our recently constructed skatepark in Nyssa Poland won 1st place out of 300 entries as the best park in Poland. We certainly felt like the park was a great one and all of the local skaters seemed to agree, but to be selected for an official award saying its #1 is really cool. This project was our second big park in Poland and we are looking forward to constructing a lot more.

Recently American Ramp Company was awarded competitively bid national purchasing contract by the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA).  After a lengthy bid and review process NJPA deemed ARC the best choice for their members, which include over 40,000 public agencies, cities and counties, throughout the US.

Any City or County can purchase ARC’s products through this contract, saving valuable time and money.  This award is quite an honor and we look forward to serving the skatepark needs of all NJPA members.

American Ramp Company was recently commissioned to build a half-pipe for the Subway Restaurants franchisee convention in San Francisco.  Our crews took two days to install the halfpipe in San Francisco’s Moscone Center.  The ramps played host to a demonstration by professional skaters and BMX riders.

Although our core business is building skateparks for city and county recreation departments ARC has constructed parks and ramps for many competitions and corporate clients including X-Games FMX and Snowmobile, Skittles, Warner Brothers, Professional Skate/BMX Demos, etc..

With the contracting of a new skatepark in Romania, American Ramp Company has now sold skateparks in 29 countries.  Throughout the years we have been thrilled to see skateboarding embraced by cultures throughout the world.  We have been even more thrilled to have customers contact us from across the globe to build a skatepark in their country.  Many times these projects are some of the first professionally constructed skateparks in the entire country.  It is an amazing feeling when you realize that you have played a part in introducing skateparks to new skaters.  Our company was founded on providing quality places to ride and that is our focus still today.

November 2011 American Ramp Company became a teenager, with 13 years of building great skateparks.  It’s funny because it seems a few of our designers have been dressing like teenagers this whole time.

A lot has happened in the last thirteen years.  We have grown to become the world’s largest skatepark provider. We have developed new product lines and currently offer every skatepark build method.  And most importantly we have had the pleasure of building some great skateparks for some great communities.  Every new year adds many great projects to celebrate and we look forward to continue to serve our customers and push the envelope of skatepark design and construction, after all pushing the envelope is what teenager do.

American ramp Company is proud to announce the installation of its 2000th skatepark. After 13 years of skatepark design and construction building skateparks throughout the world ARC’s most recent installation in Port Harcourt Nigeria turns the skatepark counter to 2000.

Thirteen years ago working out of a garage we never imagined that we would have built 200 skateparks let alone 2000 and certainly we did not fathom building a skatepark in Africa.  With the installation of an ARC skatepark in Port Harcourt Nigeria we have accomplished both of these feats.  Port Harcourt Nigeria marks American Ramp Companies 2000^th skatepark installation.

We have been incredibly blessed throughout the years to have been a part of so many great skatepark development projects.  Our growth and success could not have been possible without our great customers, supportive industry partners and amazing staff.  We are as excited today to see skatepark number 2000 in the ground and enjoyed by skaters as we were over 13 years ago with skatepark number 1.
